Working without dosage is no small feat in Champagne's northern precincts. All too often, it results in tooth-chattering austerity. Ledru nails the category.

Ledru's overall style is one of serious structure, elegance, and an unobstructed expression of the vineyard. The Extra Brut lays all of this bare with riveting purity. There's tightly coiled energy with polished chalk and brilliant fruit.

It's hard to taste one of Ledru's wines without being struck by how heartfelt and painstakingly precise they are. For me there's no better example of this than her Extra Brut.
