It’s a pleasure to have this rare opportunity to offer Ledru's Brut. Ledru is one of our favorite producers in all of Champagne.

Her Champagnes are riveting in their expressiveness and finesse. The majority of Ledru’s vines are in Ambonnay, some of the greatest Pinot Noir terroir in Champagne.

I was really happy to have landed this parcel on offer today. I shouldn't mislead you, though. It is by no means large. I imagine that it will disappear quickly.

The overall style is one of serious structure, elegance, vivid purity and unobstructed expression. The Brut Grand Cru displays a regal, tightly coiled energy with polished chalk and brilliant fruit.

Ledru produces some of the most lovingly made and terroir-expressive Champagnes around. She handles every aspect of production on her own (from the vineyards, to the paperwork, to the cellar where every bottle is hand-disgorged.) It's hard to taste a Ledru wine without being struck by how heartfelt and pain-stakingly precise they are.

Over five years ago, Champagne expert Peter Liem wrote, “Marie-Noëlle Ledru’s tiny, perfectionist grower-estate is known only to a handful of champagne connoisseurs, yet today she is making some of the best wines in Ambonnay.” Much has changed. Today, Ledru’s are some of the most sought after and hardest to find Champagnes around. I'm very happy to offer.
