“One of the great producers of Italy's old guard" -
2012 Salvioni Brunello di Montalcino

Salvioni’s wines have long served as a testament to the elegance Brunello is capable of. They thrive on spellbinding aromatics, finesse, and a nuanced, understated beauty. It’s no surprise that they are some of the most aggressively hunted wines in the region.

The excitement over the 2012 Brunellos is intense. Serious Brunello fans know that these are some of the most captivating wines in the region and that there's never enough available.

Already, the 2012 is positioned to be one of the most important vintages of the past couple decades. Think of a riper 2010 and you get a good idea of what 2012 holds in store. There's power, clarity and an aristocratic elegance.

It's natural to expect Salvioni's graceful and nuanced style to have found a perfect match in the 2012 vintage. Top vintages of Salvioni can floor you. The wines flaunt soaring aromatics and a dazzling spectrum of dark fruits, incense, spices, dried roses, minerals and earth. It’s deep and complex, while remaining vivid, precise and lifted. This is Brunello as we like it. There's a regal power, but ultimately it's the kaleidoscopic spectrum of aromatics and refinement that win us over.

Salvioni is a traditionalist who has meticulous standards and an exacting hands-on approach. Combine it with very well-placed sites and you get one of the most soulful expressions of Sangiovese you'll ever encounter.

Salvioni only has 4ha and is hard to come in a normal vintage. In 2012, things are much worst. The yields were tiny. Today's parcel is extremely limited. Please give us your ideal order and we'll do our best.
