“Grab northern Rhône 2015 reds with both hands.” -Jancis Robinson
The 2015 vintage will cement Vincent Paris' reputation as one of the most exciting young winemakers of the Northern Rhône.
The Wine Advocate’s Jeb Dunnuck writes, “Paris has turned out brilliant wines in 2015 that readers need to snatch up.” That sums it up nicely.
It’s no surprise that 2015 is also the year everything clicked for Vincent Paris. 2015 is a very strong vintage, and its strength is made clear by the excitement over the vintage.
By all accounts, Cornas was one of the stars of the vintage. 2015 is an unmissable vintage in Cornas. The appellation's famous inky and bone-crushing intensity is given a soaring energy and cushion of complexly layered fruit.
The Granit 30 bottling comes from Paris’ youngest vines and from lower on the slope. What results is an accessible Cornas, but also one with plenty of seriousness and structure. We've been tasting the Granit 30 for nearly a decade, and the 2015 is the strongest edition of the wine that we've tasted.
Over the past few vintages, we've watched Paris' wines grow more finessed, nuanced and detailed. Tasting the 2015 Granit 30 it's obvious that he made important breakthroughs. There's a textural complexity and delineation that's truly impressive. This is all across a backdrop of uncommon power, presence and drive.
It's very rare to see winemaking of this caliber at this price, especially Cornas. We created special 4-pack pricing, so that you can drink a bottle or two and then, cellar some. This is a don't miss.

2015 Paris Cornas Granit 30
Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate: "Starting with his younger vine cuvée, the 2015 Cornas Granit 30 (1,500 cases) comes from the Patou and Saint Pierre lieux-dits and will see roughly 15 months in barrel. It’s a deep, sexy, fruit-loaded beauty that has a saturated purple color, awesome notes of blackberries, blueberries, violets, spring flowers and licorice, as well as full-bodied richness and sweet, yet present tannin. This puppy has tons of fruit and is relatively upfront and textured, but it has enough tannin to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age."
