Bertheau's parcel in Bonnes Mares is a mere .34ha.

This is a rare bottle and that fact is all the more painful because it's a wine that I love. Currently, you can only find Bertheau's 2014 Bonnes Mares at two other places.

Bertheau's wines are things of utter beauty. They are intricate, whispering and profoundly graceful. Few producers do purity and transparency as well as Bertheau.

The simple way to sum up Bonnes Mares is that it combines finesse with power. What Bertheau does with this Grand Cru is stunning.

Bonnes Mares' power is on display, but it's rendered with a startling amount of subtlety, refinement and energy. For all of its restraint, there's explosive aromatics of dark red fruits, floral notes and orange peel. The aromatics in the 2014 Bonnes Mares really pop. This is a particularly harmonious, classy and long vintage for the wine.

I've devoted a lot of time to chasing this wine down. My fondness for Bertheau is well known, but the 2014 Bonnes Mares is special. I wish that all of my effort yielded more wine. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
