Les Amoureuses is the most sought after wine in Bertheau’s stable. Collectors aggressively hunt it down. And landing it in anything close to decent quantity is very difficult. Bertheau only has 0.32ha of the 1er Cru. Currently, there are only three other listings for Bertheau's Amoureuses in the U.S.
Bertheau's parcel in Bonnes Mares is a mere .34ha. This is a rare bottle and that fact is all the more painful because it's a wine that I love. Currently, you can only find Bertheau's 2014 Bonnes Mares at two other places.
Last week, we offered Bertheau's 2014 Chambolle. That night, I was searching for additional bottles to fulfill all the orders that we received. This made me very happy. Bertheau's are the Burgundies that I'm most fond of. They are archetypes of just how graceful and pure Burgundy can be.
