Sharp Pricing - 2013 Guigal La La's:
La Mouline, La Landonne & La Turque

Posted by Ian McFadden

Guigal is Rhône royalty and their single-vineyard "La La's" are the justly acclaimed jewels in the crown.

Simply put, there's nothing like Guigal's La La's.

I'm happy to offer all three of Guigal's La La's from the incredible 2013 vintage at very sharp pricing, especially at the special 6-pack pricing.

2013 in the Northern Rhône is shaping up to be an epic vintage of classic proportions. The wines have balance, freshness and startlingly pure fruit. Unsurprisingly, Guigal produced an incredibly strong cast of wines in 2013 and their flagship La La's easily rank among the best of the vintage. These are mineral and structured wines with a vibrant core of acidity. All three boast explosive aromatics and beautiful finesse and energy.

La Mouline is from the Côte Blonde and is silken, red fruited and delivers outrageous aromatics. While it has a decidedly feminine profile, La Mouline is an intense wine with epic complexity. A remarkable purity is on display in the 2013.

La Turque comes from an incredibly steep vineyard in the Côte Brune and boasts an earthier profile with layers of dark fruit and impressive length. The wine tends towards more of a dark, brooding nature. The 2013 is an especially well built version with serious cellar potential.

La Landonne, also in the Côte Brune, is one of Côte-Rôtie's greatest sites. What Guigal does with the site is mind-blowing. The 2013 delivers power and layered complexity, true to its more muscular style, while maintaining a stunning amount of finesse and agility.

When it comes to Syrah, Guigal’s La La’s are some of the best in world. The 2013s are a stunning example of the world-class heights that these wines can reach. Very happy to offer.
