When we had a chance to buy more 2001 Musar, we jumped on it.
The 2001 exemplifies so much of what makes Musar perpetually fascinating. It's a vintage Musar that's a really lovely combination of the lift and structure. Here you get a very obvious example of the multifaceted, constantly evolving personality that makes Musar so fascinating.
Musar is one of the most singular and captivating wines around. It combines an aristocratic air with a wild beauty that makes for profound drinking. How they pull off such gamey, untamed complexity with such harmony and nobility is thrilling.
Once you're initiated into the magic of Musar, it's easy to become obsessed. The wines possess what feels like an endless amount of nuance. This only gets accentuated with time in the cellar. Musar ages beautifully - a bottle of 1988 that we drank awhile back is still a Crush legend.
To gain more information on the chateau, I encourage you to check out Levi Dalton's I'll Drink to That! interview with Serge Hochar, who sadly passed away at the end of 2014. There's simply too much to say about Musar in this space.
We expect this to sell out quickly, so we advise you to get your orders in fast. Our Musar offers always disappear. Musar's 2001 vintage has always had a big fan club.
