On the map, Petits Monts is, literally, a small stone's throw away from La Romanée and Richebourg.
Drouhin's Petits Monts is seamless, dripping with class and presented with pitch-perfect harmony.
Petits Monts is one of my favorite bottles from Drouhin. I'm not alone. Every time that we offer Petits Monts, it disappears in a flash. Like Roumier's Cras, Fourrier's CSJ and Meo's Cros Parantoux, this is one of those 1er Crus with a rabid following.
Drouhin's plot in Petits Monts is farmed biodynamically. Indeed, this is an extra au naturel plot, worked by horse and plow as there's no path for a tractor, and all harvested by hand. Véronique Drouhin is convinced that the farming has really elevated this site.
On Drouhin's 2016s, Burghound writes: "I found the quality here to be outstanding." The magic of Drouhin's 2016s is in their shimmering transparency. They are every bit equal to the stunning 2015s, but in a totally different style. The 2016s are crystal clear, feather weight and incredibly elegant. The wines absolutely sparkle and have an extraordinary lift and perfume.
The 2016 Petits Monts is a stunning bottle. It's utterly refined and pure delivering a level of drive and precision that's close to unheard of. There's no denying the breeding here.
Before closing I'll repeat; every time we offer Drouhin's Petits Monts it always sells out. If you're interested, I'd advise you not to hesitate. It's a safe bet that this small parcel will disappear quickly.
