Clos de la Barre is one of Lafon's iconic wines. It's one of the greatest examples of villages level white Burgundy, right there with the best from Coche and Roulot.

The site is a monopole. It is sourced from mostly old vines, including ones planted in 1950, with shallow clay soils over hard limestone subsoils; the wine is a mineral tour de force with plenty of class.

Lafon's 2022s are beautiful. They combine power and a suave joyfulness with painstaking rigor and tension.
The 2022 Clos de la Barre has an incredible drive and chiseled mineral core. The wine is bright and possesses a stunning silky texture and overall harmony. It's dazzlingly finessed and multifaceted.
