2014 Allemand Cornas:
Chaillots & Reynard

Posted by Joe Salamone

Not much needs to be said about Thierry Allemand.

Nobody renders Cornas with the fine-ness, vividness and detail that Allemand does.

If you love the wines of the Northern Rhône, it's impossible not to take notice of Allemand. Allemand is one of the most talented people in wine today.

Allemand's are very special wines. It's hard not to agree with Vinous Media's Josh Raynolds when he writes: "let me state unequivocally that there is no estate in the entire Rhône Valley making finer wines.”

The 2014s show all the transparency, finesse and precision that Allemand is famous for, while possessing a fascinating textural element.

Chaillots offers an ultra-focused, lifted quality with fine, silky tannins. Reynard is deeper and darker, but no less finessed and breathtakingly precise.

Allemand has become incredibly hard to land in quantity. I don't expect our modest parcel to last very long. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
