For many wine lovers, having a healthy supply of Lapierre is essential. Having magnums around is even better.
Foillard is one of the legends of Beaujolais, and magnums of his Côte du Py always disappear quickly.
Roumier's 2017s are beautiful. I've been buying every bottle that I can find and sending offers whenever the opportunity presents itself. The vintage has such purity and fineness that it captures much of what I love about Roumier. In the 2017 vintage, you get an absolutely gorgeous Bussière. It possesses a vivid transparency with killer length and a firm mineral core.
We'll keep this email short. Foillard is one of the legends of Beaujolais and magnums of his Côte du Py always sell out quickly.
I wanted to end the year with something big, and a magnum offer of 2008 Dom Pérignon seemed perfect. There's something otherworldly about 2008 Dom Pérignon. The year 2008 will go down as one of the great Champagne vintages of modern times. The 2008 Dom Pérignon is simply an epic vintage of this wine. Dom Pérignon in magnum is the perfect format to capture the wine's magic.
Les Saint Georges is the prize of Gouges’ stable. If Nuits-St-Georges had a Grand Cru, it would be Les Saint Georges. It's the most complete, complex and aristocratic of the Nuits 1er Crus. Almost without fail, Gouges' Les Saint Georges is the best of the lineup.
Malconsorts is hallowed ground. It's one of the 1er Crus that has no trouble going head-to-head with Grand Crus. The proximity of Malconsorts to La Tâche is more than geographic. Malconsorts has this incredible brooding richness married to ethereal aromatics that is reminiscent of the great monopole.
Lapierre is one of the standard-bearers of Beaujolais. We'll keep this brief.
I wanted to bust out some big bottles and frankly, got carried away.
I'm very happy to offer this assortment of large format Red Burgundies.
In recent years, Clos des Lambrays has been on a tear. It's been exciting to watch.
Egon Müller's 2015s are some of the best that we've seen from him in decades. Today, I'm happy to offer a very small parcel of 2015 Spätlese in magnum.
