The Asili Cru is famous for producing wines of extraordinary refinement, class and elegance. The 2013 vintage provided the perfect platform for the Cru to shine brightly.
The 2013 Piedmont wines deliver an incredible combination of purity, finesse and concentration. The easy comparisons are 2010 and 2008, two of our favorite recent vintages. Simply put, this is a vintage to be excited about and go long on.
There's something special about the Asili in 2013. It has a shocking amount of precision and harmony with beautifully delineated aromatics of fruit, flower and earth. The expression is pristine and every component seems perfectly placed and proportioned.
For decades, Produttori del Barbaresco has been the address to know for value-laden, long-aging examples of Nebbiolo. We've had great bottles with over thirty years of age on them. The 2013 Asili is a really compelling example of how much value they offer. This is a vintage to stock up on.
