Napa Valley is ideally suited for exceptional Merlot. The core of this wine comes from the valley's southern end, where the cool climate and dominance of clay - a key soil component in regions where the world's most revered Merlot is grown - allow the variety's finest qualities to emerge: rich, silky textures, supple tannins and an affinity for food. We use gentle cellaring techniques to preserve the fresh fruit, selecting our final blend from the best lots.
