About This Wine
Once you adjust to their un-showy wavelength and whispering complexity, it's really easy to become obsessed with Jouan's wines. Few producers capture the imagination like Jouan. They are some of the most mysterious, beautiful, and subtle Burgundies I know.The Chambolle is always supremely graceful with a hauntingly gorgeous perfume. This is a wine of transparency and heart-breaking delicacy. It strikes me just how intricate, expressive, and profoundly soulful it is.
Jouan thrived in 2020. The fine-tuned grace of Jouan's wines makes them stunning in warmer vintages. The vintage endowed Joaun's Chambolle with an extra dimension of texture and nuance.
Jouan produces some of the most delightfully pensive Burgundies that I know of. The Chambolle is a perennial favorite out of Jouan's lineup. It captures Jouan's style in a delightfully compelling way.
