The 2017 really highlights Chevillon's ability to combine muscle with finesse and purity.  It has a bone-crushing and brooding structure, but there's also a beautiful transparency and subtle complexity.

Without Peer:
2020 Pascal Cotat Chavignol Rosé

The 2020 is an especially vivid and concentrated vintage of the rosé. There's plenty of chalky tension and incredibly pure layered red fruits. 

The Beating Heart of Chambolle:
2018 Bertheau Chambolle-Musigny

Regardless of the vintage, Bertheau's Chambolle is a Burgundy of supreme gracefulness and understatement. It's a bottle I reach for often. 

The King of Fleurie:
2019 Métras Fleurie VV

The Fleurie VV is the bottling that sums up Métras' style the best. There's a soaring and totally gorgeous perfume and a spine of dark crushed rocks. It's a wine that explodes from the glass with violets, purple fruits, and jet-black minerality.

German Elite:
2020 Schäfer-Fröhlich Stromberg Grosses Gewächs

Since its debut vintage in 2012, the Stromberg GG has competed with the Felseneck GG for the honor of Schäfer-Fröhlich's top dry bottling. 

Personality To Spare:
2017 Brovia Barolo Brea - Ca'Mia

They are among Barolo's great traditionalists and recent vintages have been showing this estate at the height of its powers.

The wine world has become obsessed with Rinaldi's soulful, finessed, and old-school style.

A Magical Combination Revisited:
2018 Heitz-Lochardet Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières

Heitz-Lochardet's intense, focused and painstakingly refined white Burgundies have gained a serious following.

Unsurprisingly, Heitz-Lochardet's Perrières, along with their Chevalier-Montrachet, leads the charge.

"Terrific" - 2017 Nervi-Conterno Gattinara

This is a special vintage for the basic Gattinara bottling. Conterno did not produce any single-vineyard bottlings. The best grapes went into the Gattinara normale instead. It's clear that this elevated the 2017 to an incredibly high level.

Hitting The Mark Revisited:
2018 Pillot Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Charmois

The Saint Aubin 1er Cru Les Charmois is one of the great deals of white Burgundy. The wine has become a pillar of our offerings. You simply don't find many Chardonnays that offer this much for the price. 

One of Burgundy's best village wines
2018 Mugneret-Gibourg Vosne-Romanée

It's easy to fall for Mugneret-Gibourg's Vosne. Few wines combine a seductive texture with an ultra-fine and elegant precision.

Cult Northern Rhône:
2019 Gonon Saint Joseph Blanc Les Oliviers

White Rhônes can be a tricky category. The best can be amazing, but for better or worse our tastes are very selective. Gonon's nails the category.
