2015 Burgundy - Elevated
2015 Fornerol Côte de Nuits Villages

This is one of the more eye-opening and irresistible everyday Burgundies that I've tasted. I have a soft spot for Côte de Nuits. Mostly due to Bachelet's wines.

2014 Roumier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras

"Textbook Les Cras" -Burghound Last week, we opened a bottle of '01 Les Cras and the bottle was so good that I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. It reminded me the heights that Cras can reach. There's magic to Roumier and Cras gets to its beating heart.

2011 Ledru Cuvée du Goulté

Ledru is a tiny estate that's assumed a huge profile. I immediately jumped on this parcel when I saw it.

Thriving On Grace -
0.36ha 2015 Jouan Clos St-Denis

Jouan's line-up reaches its absolute peak with their Clos St. Denis. The unfortunate part is that Jouan only has 0.36ha in Clos St. Denis.

2015 Jouan Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbé

Clos Sorbé is very likely Morey's most heartbreakingly delicate site. Jouan milks the site for every last drop of lacy elegance.

Lowest Price: Time-Tested Burgundy Value
2015 Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly

For savvy Burgundy buyers, En Remilly has long been one of Burgundy's hidden values. And Hubert Lamy's is the long-standing benchmark of the overachieving 1er Cru.

Red Burgundy
Fourrier, Jouan, Mugneret-Gibourg, Ponsot, Roumier & Rousseau

I'm very fond of this Burgundy list.

Jaw-Dropping 2015 Red Burgundy Value
2015 Duroché Gevrey-Chambertin “Champ”

Finding great value in the Côte de Nuits can be a real challenge. For us, Duroché has been a godsend.

A High-Water Mark
2015 Drouhin Clos de Vougeot

"This wine holds out superb long-term potential." -Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media There are vintages where magic happens at Drouhin. 2015 is one of them.

"This beauty is very clearly built-to-age"
2012 Michel Gaunoux Pommard 1er Cru Rugiens

Gaunoux's Burgundies are throw-backs to a different era that scarcely exists beyond the domaine. The wines do not pull any punches - they are steadfastly old school and unapologetically built for the long-haul.

"Like a Baby Griottes" -
2015 Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Cherbaudes

In 2015, Fourrier nailed it with his Cherbaudes.

A Dream Brew
2015 Jouan Gevrey-Chambertin "Aux Echezeaux"

I'm going to keep this short. It's clear that word is out on Jouan. Anytime that we've offered Jouan this year, it's disappeared. They are supremely graceful and subtle Burgundies. They have a whispering complexity. Once you adjust to their un-showy wavelength, it's really easy to become obsessed.

Domaine Ponsot: Large Formats and Beyond

Laurent Ponsot is one of the most singular, most compelling minds in all of Burgundy, and his wines reflect that. Today, we pay tribute to his iconoclastic genius with a collection of rarities, benchmark bottles and more.

2015 Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin VV

Fourrier’s Gevrey is no ordinary village wine.

"This perfumed beauty displays fireworks in a glass" -
2015 Lamarche La Grande Rue

The Grand Cru La Grand Rue is sandwiched between La Tâche and La Romanée-Conti.

"Some of the most compelling wines" -
Ulysse Collin Blanc de Blancs Les Roises Extra Brut (2012 Base) & Rose de Saignee (2013 base)

Ulysse Collin's Champagnes can nearly overwhelm the senses. There's a multi-dimensional complexity that seems to hit you from every angle.

2015 Jouan Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbé

Jouan's wines are studies in understatement and finesse.

Don't Miss 2015 Burgundy:
2015 Duroché Gevrey-Chambertin "Le Clos" & "Champ"

When you taste Duroché, it's clear that important things are happening at the domaine.

Red Burgundy Large Formats:
Bachelet, d'Angerville, Fourrier, Mugneret-Gibourg, Rousseau & More

I'm very happy to offer this assortment of large format Red Burgundies.

Thriving On Finesse:
2014 Jouan Morey St. 1er Cru Denis Clos Sorbé

We've become obsessed with Jouan's wines.

"Should be on your very short list" -
2014 Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Aux Combottes

“If classically styled ultra pure and understated Chambolle floats your burgundy boat, then the Barthod-Noëllat wines should be on your very short list along with the likes of Roumier, Mugnier and de Vogüé.” –Burghound

Wine of the Year Revisited:
2014 D'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru Caillerets

In December, I made the 2014 Caillerets my wine of the year. Since then, I've only grown more fond of this bottle.

"A superb showing..."
- 2015 Drouhin Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Mouches Rouge

Drouhin's Clos des Mouches is one of Burgundy's little secrets.

Under-The-Radar Ramonet:
2014 Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge

Ramonet is known for producing some of the most coveted White Burgundies in the world. Today, we turn to one of the domaine's reds.
