Rarely Seen Bénetière: 2007 & 2010 Bénetière Condrieu

There's no point in dancing around the fact that Condrieu and Viognier, in general, are often maligned for being flabby and uninteresting. While you can find many examples of this, it's far from the whole story.

2010 Clos Rougeard Saumur Blanc Brézé

Out of Rougeard's incredible and long-lived lineup, the way that Brézé ages is amazing. The 2010 Brézé is one of the most utterly brilliant vintages of the wine that I've tasted.

"Simply on another planet" - Miani:
From Friulano to Refosco

The wines of Miani are some of Italy's most sought-after cult wines. Tasting them is an unforgettable experience. Miani makes dramatic, flamboyantly rich, ruthlessly driven, and powerful wines. But somehow, they carry all their muscle and velvet with elegance.

Weightless Intensity - Don’t Miss Cult Pinot:
2018 Enderle & Moll Pinot Noir "Liaison"

The 2018 Liaison delivers more of everything... except weight. 2018 is shaping up to be a breakout red wine vintage in Germany.

The Damned Mountain:
2018 François Cotat Sancerre Les Monts Damnés

Les Monts Damnés is one of the most daunting hills in all of France. The Sauvignon Blanc that grows on it is easily among the best in the world. It's called the “damned mountains” because of how steep and difficult the site is to work. When you see a picture of Monts Damnés, it's obvious that this is great terroir.

The Pope of Arbois:
2014 Puffeney Trousseau Les Bérangère

Earlier this week, we offered Domaine du Pélican Trousseau Les Bérangères, which is sourced from vines that belonged to Jacques Puffeney. Today, we pay homage to Puffeney, one of the grandmasters of the Jura.

Brunello As It Should Be:
2010 Casanuova delle Cerbaie Brunello di Montalcino

Cerbaie crafts Brunellos exactly as we like them, and in the great 2010 vintage, the results are deeply impressive. For Brunello, 2010 is one of our favorite vintages of the past couple of decades. It has everything - concentration, clarity, and length.

Gevrey-Chambertin: Bachelet, Dujac, Fourrier, Mugneret-Gibourg, Rousseau & More

Gevrey produces some of the most satisfying and profound wines around. Today, we pay tribute to the earthy power of Gevrey with an extensive list ranging from villages wines to Grand Crus.

“Refinement and Purity”
- 2017 D'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru Taillepieds 750s & Magnums

“As is often the case, I was particularly taken with the quality I found here." - Burghound When d’Angerville’s wines are in the zone, they’re absolutely breathtaking.

1ha - Rare Lapierre:
2018 Lapierre Morgon Cuvée Camille

Ever since Camille's first vintage in 2013, it's a wine that we've bought every bottle available to us. There's something about how Camille combines deliciousness with a depth of complexity that made us immediate fans. It's a difficult wine to be a fan of -  it is sourced from a 1ha plot.

Prime Hermitage - 2 Barrels Produced:
2016 Faurie Hermitage Bessards

Bernard Faurie is well into his sixties, and he's still a driving force behind some of the purest expressions of Hermitage that we know. Today, we're excited to present a true rarity, Faurie's Hermitage Bessards.

"Manages the tour de force of being both bold and subtle at the same time."
- 2016 Lauer Ayler Kupp Riesling Spatlese Fass 7

Lauer's 2016 Kupp Spätlese manages a beautiful combination of silky richness and luminous lift.

D'Angerville Debut: Jura "Grand Cru"
- 2018 Domaine du Pélican Arbois Trousseau Les Bérangères

Montigny-lès-Arsures is home to the greatest expressions of Trousseau, and Les Bérangères is one of the most renowned vineyards in the village. When you combine this with d'Angerville's incredibly conscientious and sensitive winemaking, the results are deeply impressive.

2014 Roulot - A Benchmark In A Great Vintage

In 2014, Roulot hit the bull's-eye. I'm very happy to offer a range of Roulot's 2014s. It probably goes without saying that everything on the list is very limited.

Loire's Grand Grolleau - 2016 Domaine Andrée l'Envolée

Domaine Andrée's l'Envolée turned what we thought about the Grolleau grape on its head. Crush has been open for fifteen years, and we've worked with less than a handful of Grolleau wines over that time. They were lovely, quaffing wines, but nothing that we'd highlight with an offer.

"A Barbaresco of understatement and class"
- 2016 Poderi Colla Barbaresco Roncaglie

Poderi Colla came as a revelation to us. We first tasted them in the 2013 vintage, and the wines were brilliant.

"Wonderfully sleek and energetic" - 2017 Roumier Chambolle-Musigny

Roumier's 2017s are beautiful, diamond-cut wines that take purity to the extreme. The vintage produced some of the most gorgeous examples of Chambolle we've tasted in years. Even when you stack Roumier's Chambolle up against other top villages Burgundies, you realize that it exists on its own plane.

Roulot, The Next Horizon:
Incredible Tension and Poise - 2018 Chacra Mainque Chardonnay

As strange as it seems, Argentina, the land of Malbec, is home to one of our favorite new world Chardonnays - and Roulot’s first project outside of Burgundy. As it turns out, Patagonia’s Río Negro region is perfect for producing high-quality Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. The region’s unique climate, with warm days and cool nights, produces complex and highly finessed wines.

The Noble Savage, A Legend: 1988 Chateau Musar

Chateau Musar’s 1988 vintage is a legend around Crush. It’s one of Musar's all-time greats. It’s simply a spectacular vintage from one of the world’s most singular estates.

Boisson Goes Electric:
2017 Anne Boisson Bourgogne Aligoté

Recently, we've been beating the drum for Boisson's wines. They are among the most exciting wines of Burgundy. Today, we explore an entirely different expression of their incredible work.

2018 Métras Fleurie VV Magnums

When we tally up the mind-bending bottles of Beaujolais that we've drunk, Métras looms very large. The examples are too numerous to list, but most recently, there was an expectation-defying bottle of 1996 Fleurie. Catching a bottle of Métras when it's on is simply a profound experience. Of course, the magnum format only makes it better.

125 Cases: Under-The-Radar Star of the Vintage
- 2008 Roagna Barbaresco Montefico VV

For us, 2008 marks the vintage where Roagna broke through to an entirely new level. We've worked with Roagna since we opened fifteen years ago.

The Crown Jewel of the Northern Rhône: 2017 Chave Hermitage

It's early in the game, but it's very likely that Chave produced the greatest northern Rhône wine in 2017. Of course, this isn't a surprise. The Chave family is Rhône royalty.

Unbeatable Value - A California Classic:
2018 Enfield North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon

This is the greatest value in old school styled California Cabernet Sauvignon. It's rare that the staff yells across the store for me to taste a wine, but that's exactly what happened with Enfield's North Coast Cabernet.
