There's no doubt focusing on the wine's value is myopic. Far beyond its price tag, it needs to be said that Briords has served as a prime example for the heights that Muscadet can reach and how well it can age.

The 2017 Puligny is a really beautiful vintage for the wine. It is vibrant, finely etched, and supremely elegant. It's very rare that a villages wine has this much class and sophistication.

2018 Lapierre Morgon Sans Soufre

It's easy to understand. The sans soufre version is a rare sighting. More importantly, it takes the deliciousness of the sulphured version of Lapierre's Morgon to another level.

The Altenberg originates from the limestone soils of Burgundland, Austria's easternmost wine region. It's a single vineyard in one of the coolest parts of the region. While it's hard to contextualize the wine, the noble thread of minerality and the wine's cut make clear its cool, limestone origins.
